Where is this going…

I never know what I think about something until I read what I’ve written on it.

—– William Faulkner

If you read my last post, you’ll know that I am currently struggling with a dilemma:

There’s a new novel that’s brewing in my mind. That wouldn’t be a problem, but…

JuNoWriMo starts on June 1 and I’ve gotten everything planned out for a different novel.

So, here I stand, at a crossroads, trying to decide.

I am going to try Sarah Nego’s suggestion about letting my lead characters write about why their story should be told and create a brief outline of the stories.

Which ever one is the strongest, that’s the one I’m going with, even if it means some additional panic attacks.

About melindamcguirewrites

The young man or woman writing today has forgotten the problems of the human heart in conflict with itself which alone can make good writing because only that is worth writing about, worth the agony and the sweat. ------ William Faulkner, Nobel Prize Speech, Stockholm, 1950
